The Zugspitze - an outstanding experience

Summer and winter

Tyrol and the adjoining Bavaria share the highest mountain in the Wetterstein mountain range, the Zugspitze. This panoramic mountain is just under 3,000 metres high, and is one of the most popular destinations for excursions offering many attractions. In winter, sports lovers can enjoy skiing on the Zugspitzplatt or delightful ice climbing tours, while in summer the Zugspitze is ideal for hiking or for tackling various climbing routes. The Summit Restaurant with its unbeatable panoramic view guarantees gourmet pleasures in a cosy setting.

The view from the panorama terrace of the Summit Restaurant extends to four countries and the sea of summits of the Eastern Alps. A visit to the “Faszination Zugspitze” interactive museum is also well worthwhile, and you will learn many fascinating facts about the Zugspitze. And the Zugspitze also has a special highlight: the small snow crystal world at the mountain station offers an insight into the magical universe of snowflakes.
