Welcome to Knight Rüdiger's castle of horrors
The ruins of Ehrenberg Castle rise high above Reutte and are transformed into a magical spectacle during the cold season. Under the motto ‘Knight Rüdiger's spooky castle’, visitors are immersed in a world full of legends and glowing secrets.
Follow in the footsteps of the brave knight Rüdiger, meet his faithful ghost friend and marvel at the legendary dragon crystal. Glowing mythical creatures, sparkling animals and a production full of surprises make the time-honoured walls the setting for a story that will make children's eyes light up as well as delighting adults.
Sparkling spectacle and medieval charm
When darkness falls over the Ehrenberg ruins, LUMAGICA comes to life in all its splendour. More than 170 light objects transform the historic walls into an illuminated stage. With music-synchronised productions and interactive elements, the tour becomes an experience for all the senses - a perfect symbiosis of art, technology and wintry romance.
A special highlight awaits you on the spectacular highline179. This dizzying, 406 metre-long suspension bridge offers you a breathtaking view of the illuminated castle ruins and the surrounding landscape. Whether by day or by night, this is the perfect photo to take home with you.
The medieval flair of the ruins, coupled with the magic of winter, will transport you to another time. A visit to LUMAGICA is not only magical, but also easy to plan. Just 30 minutes by car from the Zugspitz Resort, a tour that takes around an hour awaits you. Even getting there is an experience: choose the romantic 15-minute walk through the snow-covered forest, which seems to transport you to another time, or hop on the comfortable ‘Ehrenberg Liner’, which will take you directly to the entrance. Once there, you will not only encounter magic, but also history, which comes to life in every corner.
