In the thick of the skiing action
Tyrol's Zugspitz Arena, with its nine ski areas, 87 lift facilities and 213 kilometres of pistes, is regarded as a genuine paradise for skiing. Right in midst of it all is the Four Star Superior Zugspitz Resort – its location at the foot of Germany's highest mountain makes it an ideal base for enjoying an action-packed winter holiday. Right next to the Resort area, Tyrol's Zugspitzbahn not only takes guests up to the summit of the Zugspitz, but also into the Zugspitzplatt ski area, which starts its winter season at the end of November. Meanwhile the family-friendly ski area at Ehrwalder Alm welcomes winter sports enthusiasts from 17th December. After that, Zugspitz Resort welcomes guests with its lovely, welcoming ambience.
All the ski areas in Tyrol's Zugspitz Arena can be enjoyed with just one ski pass, the 'Top Snow Card'. This also includes the family-oriented ski area on the Ehrwalder Alm, which starts its winter season on 17th December, with its family park, fun slope, 'Schneeburg' adventure playground and Snowpark for freestyle fans. Tirolerhaus at the mountain station awaits for some refreshments in between meals, serving local and international dishes created by top chef Michael Kramer. Hotel guests enjoy convenient access to the Ehrwalder Almbahn by way of a ten minute journey on the resort's free ski bus service. Those of you who prefer to head a little higher up can head into the glacier ski area on the Zugspitzplatt, which welcomes ski enthusiasts from the end of November. It is so easy to get to the 2962 metre summit on Tyrol's Zugspitzbahn, which is right at the resort, and then you can continue to the Schneeferner glacier.
Activities & relaxation after a day on the piste
After sports-packed hours in the snow, guests staying in the Four Star Superior Zugspitz Resort can look forward to the Aktiv & Vitalwelt which has a spa, sauna area with relaxation rooms, fitness room as well as a wide selection of massage and beauty treatments. Little guests will be thrilled by the 1500 square metre Games and Water World. Over two floors, there is an indoor adventure realm, including go-kart track, a 'Play & Chill' area, a bouldering wall and a cinema, while the Water World has three different pools, including a pirate ship and five adventure slides – complete with a 120 metre competition slide which features a time measurement facility. Camping is fantastic, but if you yearn for a little more comfort or just want to warm your fingers with a steaming hot chocolate, then head to us. We provide a mix of adventurous camping with all the lovely features of a top 4-star resort. Glamping, as it is known.
Versatile family offers
With the winter package 'Family Ski Packages' families get the Top Snow Card for all the ski areas in Tyrol's Zugspitz Arena, along with free child supervision for children aged three and over. Valid from 09.01.-19.02.2021 and from 2480 Euro for a stay of five nights, for two adults and one child. When you book 'Family Activity Weeks' packages, there is no charge for children under the six, and all the adventure and wellness areas, as well as child supervision and a variety-packed family activity programme, are included. The 'Family Activity Weeks' are available to book between 09.01.-30.01.21 and from 1550 Euro for five nights. There is pampering too with our 'Ultimate pampering days' package, which provides guests with half-board, an à la carte evening meal, a bottle of Prosecco, access to the 'Aktiv & Vitalwelt', along with a variety-packed programme of activities for families. The package is available to book between 09.12.-19.12.2021 and 09.01.-19.02.2022, with pricing from 496 Euro per person for three nights. The 'Active Comfort', camping package is valid between 09.-19.12.2021 and 09.01.-09.02.2022, and includes seven nights on a Comfort Deluxe pitch for two adults, from 413 Euro, or for two adults and two children from 623 Euro. It includes use of the 'Aktiv & Vitalwelt' as well as the family activity programme.
